Job Description:

Our Environmental Services Group is currently looking for a New Grad-Due Diligence Services Tech to join the ENERCON Team with access to a major airport hub in the central United States. In this exciting role, you will lead Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and contribute to impactful projects, with a focus on large-scale wind and solar sites. You will help ensure compliance with ASTM, federal, state, and local regulations while analyzing environmental conditions and producing critical technical reports. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of renewable energy, with occasional overnight travel across the US to deliver results and make a lasting impact. 

 

Imagine a day where your work directly shapes the future of clean energy. You assess wind and solar sites, uncovering insights that drive sustainable progress. You will guide key decisions, helping protect the environment while powering tomorrow’s world. Duties will include:

 

  • Environmental Site Assessments & Reporting: Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and other diverse projects as needed. Perform site assessments on large wind/solar sites and write technical reports in compliance with ASTM, federal, state, and local regulations
  • Analysis & Recommendations: Formulate independent conclusions about the presence of environmental conditions. Provide defensible recommendations and solutions, considering the impact on potential business transactions
  • Confidentiality & Travel: Maintain confidentiality regarding property and client-sensitive information. Travel, including overnight, throughout the US as needed

 

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a new graduate? 

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors. 
  • Available to start in May 2025 through August 2025. 
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite. 
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams. 
  • Ability to effectively problem solve. 
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Preferred Experience:

  • Property Condition Assessments and Phase II experience is a plus
  • Ability to complete multiple projects concurrently with varying scopes of work within short timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Parcel platform
  • Ability to travel up to 40 - 60% of the time to client sites for walkdowns and back to the office to prepare reports

 Interview and Employment Requirements: 

  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation. 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
