Overview

What responsibilities will I have in this role?  (including but are not limited to):

As a License & Renewal Engineer at ENERCON, you’ll support nuclear power clients through license renewal and subsequent renewal processes—helping ensure safe, reliable operations across the facility lifecycle. This role is ideal for early-career professionals (1–3 years of experience) with an interest in regulatory compliance, technical documentation, and long-term infrastructure planning.

 

You’ll contribute to developing and reviewing regulatory documents, conducting research on industry standards, and preparing high-quality filings. You’ll also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and design systems at power-generating facilities, ensuring compliance and integration across engineering functions.

 

You’ll manage scope, schedule, and quality for your assignments, apply relevant codes and standards, and produce deliverables that meet client and ENERCON QA expectations. Field visits to plant sites will provide hands-on experience, where you’ll perform walk-downs and build strong client relationships through professional communication and teamwork.

What qualifications/skills will help you be successful in this role?

  • Completed a bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or AI engineering from an accredited university.
  • A minimum 1-2 years of design experience is preferred.
  • Design modification experiences preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of design calculations.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, willingness to participate in prototyping and testing, ability to create comprehensive design documentation preferred. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, presenting design proposals, and documenting design specifications preferred. 
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot design issues, propose solutions, and iterate on designs preferred. 
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.  
  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
