Overview

What responsibilities will I have in this role?  (including but are not limited to):

As an early-career engineer in ENERCON’s Power Delivery (PD) group, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the design, analysis, and inspection of critical power infrastructure—from substations and transmission lines to distribution networks. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with 1–3 years of experience who are eager to grow their skills in a fast-evolving energy landscape.

 

You’ll work on projects that serve utilities, independent power producers, and industrial clients, helping to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems. Depending on your focus area, you may contribute to Transmission line design and analysis using tools like PLS-CADD, Substation and switchyard engineering and program management, or distribution system upgrades and greenfield projects led by utility-experienced engineers and so much more! 

 

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, apply industry codes and standards, and support the development of high-quality engineering deliverables. You’ll also be expected to manage tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to new tools and technologies while learning from senior engineers and field experiences.

What qualifications/skills will help you be successful in this role?

  • Currently graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
  • Available to start immediately. 
  • Preferred courses completed: Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Power Systems Analysis & Control, Electric Power Quality.
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite. 
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams. 
  • Ability to effectively problem solve. 
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

 

Employment Requirements:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.  
  • Completion of pre-interview assessments.
  • ENERCON does not provide sponsorship now or in the future. 

 

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00- $99,600.00. Salary ranges are determined by a combination of role, level, experience, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
